Fathers Matter

All parents deserve support, encouragement, and information. However, fathers have often felt disconnected and disrespected by traditional programs for parents. The Family Life Council recognizes the important and unique role that fathers play in the lives of their children. We offer a variety of programs for men led by men which honor their role and provide practical information that can help them create strong relationships with their children.

Jimmy, a father in Guilford County Jail participated in Fathers Matter and said: “I love my children, but I grew up in foster homes and I know I don’t know how to be the father I need to be. This has been just what I needed.”
